House rules

Dear Visitors,

To safeguard our exhibits and the museum facilities, and in the interests of all concerned, we would like to draw your attention to our house rules. These house rules are binding for all visitors. By entering the museum buildings, you acknowledge these rules. We would like you to enjoy your visit to the full, and therefore ask you to observe the following rules.

House Rules

You can read the house rules here.

Accessibility

The Richard Wagner Museum has full disabled access with one exception: the western mezzanine floor in Wahnfried House can unfortunately only be accessed by means of a circular staircase, due to the structure of the building.

Disabled access to the new building with the ticket counter, shop and special exhibition area is to the right of the main entrance. The permanent exhibition area, cinema and a disabled access toilet are located on the lower ground floor of the new building and can be reached by elevator.

From the new building, you can access the lower ground floor of Wahnfried House directly by elevator. Here, there is also a disabled access toilet. The upper floors may be reached by means of another elevator. In addition, Wahnfried House has a disabled access side entrance to the left, on the same side as Siegfried Wagner House.

Access to Siegfried Wagner House is by ramp, straight up to the front entrance. Alternatively, you will also find a disabled access entrance opposite the side entrance of Wahnfried House.

Our staff are also happy to assist you with any questions you might have.
